Once in while, often due to unforseen forces in the universe, we are compelled to eat horribly. We reach for whatever is fast and available, usually containing bad fats, sugar or too much salt. Make a batch of these power-packed, super-fueled grab-and-go balls on a Sunday so you’re ready for whatever the universe hurls at you during the week! Not just for crazy health fanatics-even my teens give these little gems their teen-thumbs up seal of approval!
Lisa’s Raw Bliss Balls
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups pitted medjol dates (can substitute organic raisins)
1/2 cup organic raisins
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
1/2 cup agave syrup
2 TB chia seed
1 TB (heaping) maca (root) powder
1 TB organic vanilla extract
1 tsp organic almond extract (optional)
Mix all ingredients in food processor until well blended. Scoop into 1 1/2” portioned balls. Will store well in fridge for one week.
